100 Days Open!!

Branches has now been open Serving the Community with Young People at its heart for over 100 days. To celebrate this achievement we have changed up our menu, and have a winter offer being prepared to roll out.

Also planned are:

An evening for our members a chance to reflect on the journey so far and look to the future.

A 'VIP' event to thank the individuals and organisations that through their support have got us to this point, and show the valuable work with our Young Leaders that this support has enabled.

A Pre-Christmas Feast from 11am on the 22nd December, before we give our dedicated staff and volunteers a well deserved break. This feast will be free for the Homeless and Families that need a little extra Christmas Spirit.

Branches will be closed after the feast and will reopen on 2nd January 2019.

Branches Team ready to welcome you to the New Cafe.

On Monday 23rd and Tue 24th July Branches Cafe opened its doors for the first time for a couple of taster sessions. Young people were invited to join us to see the new café give us some feedback on the café and our menu and enjoy a free ice cream courtesy of our local Iceland Store. We had about 30 young customers who visited, met some of the team and played games and chatted in their new space. They also had a first look at our exciting Summer Program. Thanks for coming we hope to see you again.

What's going on at Branches Young People's Support Service?

Branches Cafe will open its doors to young people on Mon 23 July and Tues 24 July 2018 from 3pm-5pm on the 1st Floor of Elms Court, Chapel Way (above Botley Library).  There will be a soft opening to the wider community on Mon 30 July and Tue 31 July 10am-3pm and then the doors will open to everyone on Wed 1st August 2018 when the summer programme also kicks in for young people!

BRANCHES at...                                        ...Dean Court Community Breakfast

On Sunday 27th May Branches Volunteers and Young People Served the monthly Community Breakfast at the Dean Court Community centre. It was a fun morning and turnout was good considering it was a Bank Holiday weekend at the start of half term and Common People was on and Liverpool had just played in the Champions League Final. Thanks for inviting us to do this, it was a great chance to raise our profile as we prepare to open, and a small thanks for the support Dean Court gave us hosting our Favours Auction back in February.

Wow what  fantastic evening. A massive thank-you to all our and Bridges supporters who helped out and came along to the auction, and bought food and drink.

Also a huge thank-you to all the individuals and companies who donated faours.

Plus a gigantic thank-you to all those who bid and sent those prices soaring.

In total we have raised Approx £4200 to support the work of

Botley Bridges and Branches Young Peoples' Support Services

To continue the theme

BRANCHES at...                                 ...Kings Centre Harvest Fayre

Two of our Young Leaders ran a stall for Branches at the Kings Centre Harvest Fayre. As well as the brilliant cakes shown our Fabulous Proper Chocolate Flapjacks, our Lemon Muffins and our Scones with Stawberry Jam were on sale. It was a great opportunity to raise our profile and to let the Young Leaders take the lead! Meanwhile the Directors made links with potential suppliers for the cafe and stall holders with arts and crafts skills.

BRANCHES at...                             ..Friends of Raleigh Park AGM

After visiting the RAISE pop up cafe a customer comissioned BRANCHES to provide some cakes for the Friends of Raleigh Park AGM. We happily agreed and as requested provided some of our Proper Chocolate Flapjacks and a home baked Carrot Cake.

The feedback was that they were much enjoyed. Thanks to the volunteer bakers who made the flapjacks and Carrot Cake and thanks to the Friends of Raleigh Park for their custom and support.

We believe Young People need opportunity to give back to the community to show they are worth investing in.

We believe a community needs to support its businesses and appreciate and encourage the skills and talents it contains.

We believe Young People need the community to share its skills and talents with them, so they can learn to take these
